New Line/Warner Bros. desarrollarán esta versión que tendrá al comediante George Lopez prestando su voz al roedor más rápido de México. El equipo guionista conformado por Alec Sokolow y Joel Cohen (culpables de Garfield) adaptarán al clásico animado en este híbrido live action generado por computadora, que lo unirá a adaptaciones estilo Scooby Doo, Alvín y las Ardillas o los próximos proyectos que llevarán a la pantalla grande a Los Pitufos y El Oso Yogi.
La premisa no debiese sorprenderlos: Speedy será un ratón malentendido que viene de una familia meticulosa y él es demasiado rápido para lo que hacen. PLOP. Ah, sí, avisan que dejarán de lado los racismos. Aunque les apuesto que veremos los clásicos ratones mexicanos flojos igual pascual. ¿Qué tal?
